I wonder if I could be of assistance to you. Here in South Africa they have released the iPhone unlocked. If a copy of this firmware would help you compare basebands etc then perhaps I could get hold of an unlocked one and with your direction, take a copy of it and get it sent over to you. Feel free to email me directly if this could be of some help.
I currently have a locked US AT&T 3G iPhone using a SIM chip unlock so am also still quite keen on your software version.

like someone said its blog.->IPHONE<-Dev.org not blog.itouch.org so be happy that they released itouch 1 jailbreak so just wait for 2G jailbreak ...
Like most of us waited for 3G unlock ( and are still waiting ) and that for some 4 months...its just about time and even if dev team give it up i would be thankfull for that they did!..
With the itouch u can listen music play apps and other things that's what it is Build for! and some are waiting for Iphone 3g to finaly Call someone with their carrier not with at&t and other europe carriers...
