This is my first comment on here. I'm a IT consultant and I'm a very BIG BIG fan of the dev team.
I honestly think they're one of the most intelligent folks on the face of the planet right now.
Hacking the iphone 3G to be used on any network to me would be genius as the greedy sods at Apple believe that this is an impossible feat. Unfortunately for them I believe the dev team are at the verge of making history.
I even believe the dev team will one day be able to create a custom operating system of their own for the iphone. That would be awesome...lol

I must say that haven't read the comments on here, The stupid nincompoop named "James" has to be the most amazing retard God ever created. If the moron only had a little insight or had at least one brain cell in this vacuum skull working, he'd realise the dev team are really kind doing what they're doing. I can assure you, a lot of people would not do what the dev team are doing for free so let's be nice and not leave them discouraging comments.PLEASE!

DEV TEAM ARE THE BEST TEAM. Keep up the good work. I earnestly await the 3G unlock but even if you are not able to hack it, "I" will still remain your biggest fan! You've done a lot already and I personally want to say thank you for the Unlock on my iphone 2G.

My turn to add a comment and hope for the Dev Team to respond, this one's not hateful...

I've read some of your blog posts regarding how you all wish to remain anonymous to the world except for your "names" like Pumpkin and whatnot. Which is totally understandable. And I think I remember reading something along the lines of you wouldn't know each other if you walked past one another. Well maybe I'm making shit up, who cares.

Anyway. How did you guys get organized? As a team I mean?

HELP!
I just went through the steps to jailbreak my 2G iPhone and install 2.0.
During the final steps, after I put the phone in DFU mode, and then tried to restore I got an error message (1601 iphone cannot be restored).
On the apple site it says to uninstall iTunes and reinstall.
I did and I am still getting the message.
What do I do?

How funny. I think installer is not important (since there is the app store). Software-based unlock is important.

My 17" mac book pro logic board needs replacing yet I'm 1 month out of warranty- I contacted apple support, was passed to a customer support person, and the will cover the costs as long as I haven't dropped it or something stupid.
