Just wondering about returning original iphone (not 3G) to factory settings. the back is coming up just a tiny bit and i want to take it to a mac genius, but first i want to restore it to factory specs. if i restore my iphone will it return the bootloader to the original one? or does that even matter? its the only real grey area i can't seem to get a solid answer on. sorry if this is in the wrong place. i just need some guidance to find the answer on the web.

Hi all, just jailbroke my iphone 3g using Pwanage 2.02 and all has gone well have the beta installer 4.0 and everything works fine. The only thing is when i plug into itunes its asking to set up as new iphone or restore from back up. Ive reastored from back up but keep getting this option every time do i need to set up as new phone ?

hey, I have a problem with Cydia. I have jailbroken my iTouch 2.0.1 but if i try to start Cydia it aborts. can you tell me what I should do?

To be honest I don't care for them anymore, But I recall being perfectly able to install them through Installer.app back in the 1.x days.

Any update on what time today? I really want to see what new goodies Installer is going to bring us. I could care less about the Cydia / Installer bullshit. I just cant wait to see what neat programs ill be able to install this afternoon.
