The iPhone DevTeam has tried to jailbreak the iPod Touch 2G for an accumulated total of 25 minutes, give or take 5 minutes.

The results were mixed.

Currently there is no way. Wait a few week for the dev team to jailbreak it and install haiku's safari patch (something like that) to download files from safari. Or wait for Apple to release 2.2 so you can download music podcasts directly for free ;)

If you purchase a unlocked 3g phone in Hong Kong do you need to activate it with a Hong Kong Itunes account? Or can you just use your same account with any sim card???

Eh, i sold my ipod touch 1G and i now have the new touch. its pretty sweet but i would suggest keeping the old one cuz u could put cracked apps on it :)
